Class Description
Learn the basics of ultrasound systems operation, and quality assurance procedures. Upon completion, you will be able to demonstrate an understanding of ultrasound physics, phase and linear array transducers, pulsed and continuous wave Doppler, and define the selection criteria for scanning formats.

Joe Weidner is Vice President and co-founder of the Diagnostic and Imaging Technical Education Center, Inc. (Ditec) an independent radiology service training institute in Solon, Ohio. Joe served in the U.S. Army for 3 years. He held several positions with duties including calibration and repair on various electronic equipment. Joe has an Associates degree in Electronics Engineering Technology from the Electronic Technology Institute of Cleveland, Ohio. Joe joined a major diagnostics imaging equipment manufacturer (Picker International, Cleveland, Ohio) in 1976 as a technical instructor where he progressed to the position of System Instructor. His expertise in x-ray, ultrasound, computed tomography And nuclear medicine is why Mr. Weidner is considered one of the top imaging experts in the Diagnostic Imaging Industry. He is certified by the ICC as a CRES.
