Preparing for CBET Certification
Class Description
This class will cover topics such as safety, electronics, anatomy and physiology, medical equipment function and other related topics. This class is intended to be a starting point in your studies to pass the ICC's CBET test. This class will also cover test taking techniques and how to handle test taking anxiety. This is a great class to begin your studies and couples very well with the five day class the NCBA will sponsor in the spring of 2007.

JJohn Noblitt has been the BMET Program Director for Caldwell Community College for the last 10 years. John previously worked for SunHealth, and Corometrics. John has been extremely active in the NCBA: Current NCBA President, Past NCBA Newsletter Editor, Past NCBA Treasurer, Past NCBA Vice President. In 2003 he won the NCBA Professional of the Year award. He holds a AAS in BMET from Technical College of Alamance, a BS in Education from Western Carolina University (Magna Cum Laude), is a graduate of Radiological Service Training Institute, and is currently enrolled at Western Carolina University Graduate School seeking an M.A. Ed.
David Wilson, B.A., CBET, BMET Program Director
Stanley Community College
David Wilson graduated Stanly Community College in 1987 with an A.A.S. degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology. His career began with Alliance Medical as a purchasing agent and materials manager for durable-medical-equipment. In 1989, he was employed by NorthEast Medical Center as their first Biomed, and from there became an integral part of the development of the BMET program. He became manager of Clinical Equipment in the mid 1990's. David has earned a BA degree in Business Administration from Montreat College. He is AAMI certified and is the Program Director and Instructor for Biomedical Equipment Technology at Stanly Community College in Albemarle, NC.
